What is Ayurveda?
Ayurveda is a gentle, yet powerful system of natural healing that originated in India over 5,000 years ago. It works by restoring balance in the body, mind, and energy to support overall well-being. The word Ayurveda comes from two Sanskrit words: Ayur (life) and Veda (knowledge or wisdom).

Ayurveda is based on three core energies, known as doshas: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. These energies influence how you think, feel, digest, rest, and respond to stress. When they are in balance, you feel calm, energized, and aligned. When they are out of balance, stress, fatigue, and burnout can arise.

THE THREE DOSHAS (SIMPLIFIED)
The three doshas are the foundation of Ayurveda, subtle energies that shape your body, mind, and emotional patterns. They are known as Vata, Pitta, and Kapha, and each one is made up of different elements found in nature.
Vata, composed of air and space, is the energy of movement. It governs creativity, intuition, and sensitivity. When in balance, it brings lightness, inspiration, and flow. When out of balance, it can show up as anxiety, overthinking, restlessness, and burnout.
Pitta, made of fire and water, is the energy of transformation. It drives focus, ambition, and determination. In balance, it supports clarity, confidence, and strong digestion, both physically and mentally. When imbalanced, it may lead to stress, irritability, perfectionism, and exhaustion.
Kapha, formed from earth and water, is the energy of stability and nourishment. It provides grounding, calmness, and emotional support. When balanced, it brings steadiness, compassion, and resilience. When out of balance, it can manifest as low energy, heaviness, lack of motivation, and feeling stuck.
Within you, all three doshas are always present, but in unique proportions. Ayurveda helps you understand your personal balance and gently guides you back into harmony, so your body and mind can feel calm, energized, and supported again.
